Welcome to My Cat Journey - About the Author

This charming little oddball, (affectionately referred to) shown below is the newest addition to our feline family. She is approximately two years old and came to us as a tiny, abandoned kitten. My son discovered her as a very small, forsaken kitten wandering in the woods. He brought her home and nurtured her back to health. We found she has a very unique personality, in that she enjoys rough play. She loves roughhousing and playfighting, yet at the same time, she is an incredibly affectionate cat. She will hide and jump out and attack our legs with a couple quick strikes with her paws when we walk by her. Fortunately, her claws are retracted! She also never meows. A strange cat indeed.

All our cats - where I gained my experience

Throughout the years, our family has welcomed several cats, each with their unique personalities. Here are a few of the cats that have blessed us over the years.
Our first cat was named Zamzam (named by my children when they were quite young). She was what one might categorize as a "normal" cat. However, during one of her outdoor adventures, she surprisingly returned home pregnant, significantly expanding our cat family at the time.
Then there was Major Tom, another feline in our household, known for his hunting skills. No mouse, bird, or small creature stood a chance with him around. Nothing made him happier than gifting us with his latest kill.
Juniper, another cat in our long list of felines, was especially known for her climbing abilities. I lost count of how many times I found her perched atop the refrigerator or scaling the curtains. By learning and applying strategies from my climbing blog, we were able to reduce her climbing antics.
Over time, I have collected a wealth of knowledge about cats, gained from both joyful and challenging experiences, which I have put to good use and am cheerfully passing it on to you.
